CITY OF SEATTLE ENERGY USE BENCHMARKING LAW
The City of Seattle’s Energy Use Benchmarking Law, SMC 22.920[i] requires owners of commercial and multifamily buildings greater than 20,000 square feet to report benchmark and report the building’s energy performance to the City of Seattle annually by June 1st for the prior year’s data.
As of 10-1-2924, your property has not submitted the required 2023 energy benchmarking report to the City of Seattle as required by law. You can confirm your building’s compliance status at one of two websites – depending on the year of violation:
